Regarding the usage of “Josh Ellis Photography” / www.goteamjosh.com

By visiting and reading this website, you indicate that you accept the terms of use outlined below and that you agree to be bound by them.

If you don’t agree, thats cool, click here to take you back to Google!

With this site I endeavour to ensure that new content is constantly being added while older things are updated when necessary.

This site was initially intended only to be a space that showcases my photography but as time went by it evolved into a travel blog that I hope helps to promote the beauty of Taiwan.

Since then my ultimate goal has been to ensure that I provide the most accurate and reliable information possible so that others can learn from my travelling experience as well as offering English-language information on some of the places in Taiwan that are less travelled.

Unfortunately I cannot be held responsible for things that are out of my control.

Bus schedules and hours of operations for certain destinations for example are subject to change, so it is important that you double-check all relative information before making plans.

Your privacy is important, so let me take a moment to explain how data is collected on this website and assure you that whatever information you provide here will be kept private and under no circumstances will be sold or otherwise disclosed to any third parties.

Information on this site is collected through both direct and indirect methods.

Direct collection refers to any of the personal details you input into the comments section of the blog or when you contact me via email. This information includes, but is not limited to your name and email address as well as our correspondence

Indirect collection on the other hand refers to the usage of cookie and website metrics which anonymously collect information such as your geo-location, how long you’ve spent browsing the site, etc.

Cookies / Google Analytics

Like most websites, this site makes use of “cookies” to track certain information about your browsing experience.

Cookies are essentially small ‘data files’ which are stored on your computer and collect information such as your location, what pages you visit on the site, how much time you spend on each page, etc.

The usage of cookies in this case is not to ‘stalk’ users but to help improve and personalize your experience by giving me an indication of what kind of content visitors prefer.

Like many other websites I also make use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, which also makes use of cookies.

Google uses this information for the purpose of evaluating your activity and compiles reports that gives creators a better indication of where the traffic is coming from and what they’re looking at.

While all of this information is anonymous, Google may transfer some of this information to third parties when required to do so by law.

If you are worried about your privacy, you should note that web browsers can be set to automatically inform you when a cookie has been sent as well as providing you with the opportunity to refuse it.

Likewise you are also entitled to turn them off completely.

Turning off cookies however could negatively impact your browsing experience and the functionality not just here but on almost every other website on the internet.

Rest assured though that any information you provide on this site is confidential and secure.
