Hualien County (花蓮縣) is possibly one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Taiwan. The county is home to the famed Taroko National Park, Qingshui Cliffs, Qingxingtan Beach, etc. Hualien is a nature-lovers paradise which is one of the reasons why it attracts so many domestic and foreign tourists. With the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Central Mountain Range on the other with giant mountain peaks, scenic valleys, raging rivers and a rich cultural history thanks to the Indigenous people who have lived in the area for thousands of years.
